Building a City or a Soul
The four dimensions are describing a spiritual place, a city, where every living stone has its own place and is in relationship with other stones around it.
We have depth: our souls are under the dominion of the Father and Christ Jesus
We are depth: we bring all things (time, space, world, devil) under the ‘feet’ of Jesus by exercising His dominion of Life. BEING!
We submit to righteousness: we receive and submit to the Father’s righteousness manifested through others in the Body of Christ
We are righteousness: we receive and exercise the Father’s righteousness toward others in the Body of Christ. RULING!
We are sanctified: we were purchased and set aside to belong to the Lord together with other members of the Body
We are sanctification: we receive and love others in the Body as Christ received us and set us apart for Him. TOUCHING!
We are redeemed: we were bougth with a price: the blood of Jesus
We are redemption: We are the hope of all creation, the expectation of the glory revealed when the sons are manifested. REACHING!
The Soul of Jesus
- Jesus was completely aware of His Sonship with the Father and the Holy Spirit bearing witness at His water baptism. He was not only sinless but His soul was going to overcome the world by yielding to the Spirit. We are part of Him, growing into His victory
The Soul of sons
- The purpose of soul life is the oneness back with the spirit by laying it down the ‘psyche’ soul life and getting the ‘zoe’ spiritual life of God. The existence of the soul, the place of creation and change, is always coming to the end, to ceasing, by rest, where every work is converted into the spiritual existence.(Luke 9:24)
- The salvation of our souls is the entering back in the possession of God, by bringing every work into the eternal existence of the spirit (Eph.1:14; Heb.10:39)
Righteousness – mind consciousness
- The mind of the son – the logical, man’s mind taught by the tree of knowledge, needs replaced with the mind of the spirit, which is Life and peace. The new mind is the mind of Christ
- All the world is controlled by the ‘wisdom of this age’ or ‘rulers of this age’ (1 Cor. 2:6) and our preaching of the Gospel seems foolishness to the carnal mind. Man will have to become fool in what concerns the world, in order to receive God’s wisdom.
1Cr 2:15 – 16 NKJV – But he who is spiritual judges all things, yet he himself is [rightly] judged by no one. For “who has known the mind of the LORD that he may instruct Him?” But we have the mind of Christ.
Sanctification – surrender of the will
- The will of the son – consumed by the Will of God as the bread offered on the table in the Temple.
- It is not how weak I am to submit to Him but rather how strongly I desire to let Him take over
- Was Jesus’ will weak when He submitted to the Father? We seem to come to the place of weakness when we cannot change or solve important issues for us or our families. No, Jesus’ will was very strong. He WILLED to submit His will to the Father. Our weakness in the will comes from fear of totally submitting
Redemption – sacrifice to bring pleasure to Him
- Worship is the spiritual transformation of one’s emotions. It is the communion of the spirit with the Holy Spirit, the oneness of us being immersed in Him
- The redemption of our emotions is not keeping them on the high level, but entering the rest, God’s rest. In the midst of distress, Jesus had the peace and gave others His peace. (John 14:27) Peace guards our minds and thoughts (Phil. 4:6-8).
- Only the golden altar, with burning incense, is described to be into the Holy of Holiest. That represents our soul emotions, sacrificed into bringing pleasure to our Beloved. It cannot be any split loyalty in this. We could only burn incense to our God
The two I’s
[Gal 2:20 NKJV] “I have been crucified with Christ; it is
no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the
[life] which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the
Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.
I have been crucified – the soul (psyche) life is crucified
Christ lives in me – the Spirit of God, the Son is the one alive
I now live in the flesh – the new I, the new creation, the Spirit-man
Faith – manifesting the Son of God in our souls, the becoming
Possessing the soul to become One
Luk 21:19 “By your patience possess your souls.
1 Thes. 5:23 – Now, may the God of peace himself consecrate you, every part of each one of you, to His worship and service, and may your spirit and soul and body be preserved in their entirety blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Making peace and bringing wholeness, to become one new son of God.
