Manifesting Christ

Posted: September 10, 2018 in Uncategorized

New creation in Christ

[2Co 5:17 NKJV] 17 Therefore, if anyone [is] in Christ, [he is] a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.

  • New Spirit – His Own Spirit
  • Renewed Soul – learning new ways and erasing the old patterns. The flesh is already crucified (old man).
  • The body is dead but the power of resurrection is quickening it until the redemption of our body is manifested.

In Christ

[Eph 1:3-4, 7, 10-11, 13, 20 NKJV] 3 Blessed [be] the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly [places] in Christ, 4 just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love, … 7 In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace … 10 that in the dispensation of the fullness of the times He might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven and which are on earth–in Him. 11 In Him also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestined according to the purpose of Him who works all things according to the counsel of His will, … 13 In Him you also [trusted], after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, … 20 which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated [Him] at His right hand in the heavenly [places],

[Eph 2:6 NKJV] 6 and raised [us] up together, and made [us] sit together in the heavenly [places] in Christ Jesus,

In Him

[Col 1:17, 19 NKJV] 17 And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist. … 19 For it pleased [the Father that] in Him all the fullness should dwell,

[Col 2:9-10 NKJV] 9 For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily; 10 and you are complete in Him, who is the head of all principality and power.

[2Co 1:19-20 NKJV] 19 For the Son of God, Jesus Christ, who was preached among you by us–by me, Silvanus, and Timothy–was not Yes and No, but in Him was Yes. 20 For all the promises of God in Him [are] Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us.

[2Co 5:21 NKJV] 21 For He made Him who knew no sin [to be] sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him

Found in Him

[Phl 3:9 Wuest] yes, in order that I might in the observation of others be discovered by them to be in Him, not having as my righteousness that righteousness which is of the law, but that righteousness which is through faith in Christ, that righteousness which is from God on the basis of faith.

To be found, discovered in Him on the basis of faith. How can you tell if someone is in faith?

Not by his or her confession. Sonship is a manifestation!

Manifesting Life

Phaneroo (Gr) = to make manifest or visible or known what has been hidden or unknown, to manifest, whether by words, or deeds, or in any other way

a)make actual and visible, realized

b)to make known by teaching

c)to become manifest, be made known

d)of a person

  1) expose to view, make manifest, to show one’s self, appear

e)to become known, to be plainly recognized, thoroughly understood

  1) who and what one is

Jhn 17:6 NASB – “I have manifested Your name to the men whom You gave Me out of the world” – manifesting the One

Rom 3:21 NASB – “But now apart from the Law the righteousness of God has been manifested, being witnessed by the Law and the Prophets,” – manifesting Grace

2Cr 4:11 NASB – “For we who live are constantly being delivered over to death for Jesus’ sake, so that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our mortal flesh.” – manifesting resurrected Life

Sonship – Manifestation not confession

Rom. 8:18-23 – for I have come to a reasoned conclusion that the sufferings of the present season are of no weight in comparison to the glory which is about to be revealed upon us. For the concentrated and undivided expectation of the creation is assiduously and patiently awaiting the revelation of the sons of God; for the creation was subjected to futility, not voluntarily, but on account of the One who put it under subjection upon the basis of the hope that the creation itself also will be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the liberty of the glory of the children of God. For we know that the whole creation groans and travails together up to this moment, and not only, but we ourselves also who have the first-fruit of the Spirit, we ourselves also are groaning within ourselves, assiduously and patiently waiting the full realization of our adult sonship at the time of the redemption of our body
