Jesus arose in a physical body

[1Co 15:1-8 NKJV] 1 Moreover, brethren, I declare to you the gospel which I preached to you, which also you received and in which you stand, 2 by which also you are saved, if you hold fast that word which I preached to you–unless you believed in vain. 3 For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, 4 and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures, 5 and that He was seen by Cephas, then by the twelve. 6 After that He was seen by over five hundred brethren at once, of whom the greater part remain to the present, but some have fallen asleep. 7 After that He was seen by James, then by all the apostles. 8 Then last of all He was seen by me also, as by one born out of due time.

Seeing Christ resurrected, in His new physical body, is part of the Gospel.

Life manifested on the ground

[1Jo 1:1, 3 NKJV] 1 That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, concerning the Word of life– … 3 that which we have seen and heard we declare to you, that you also may have fellowship with us; and truly our fellowship [is] with the Father and with His Son Jesus Christ.

[2Pe 1:16 NKJV] 16 For we did not follow cunningly devised fables when we made known to you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of His majesty.

Disciples were witnesses of Jesus’ death and resurrection in the body.

Flesh and bones

[Luk 24:39-43 NKJV] 39 “Behold My hands and My feet, that it is I Myself. Handle Me and see, for a spirit does not have flesh and bones as you see I have.” 40 When He had said this, He showed them His hands and His feet. 41 But while they still did not believe for joy, and marveled, He said to them, “Have you any food here?” 42 So they gave Him a piece of a broiled fish and some honeycomb. 43 And He took [it] and ate in their presence.

Why was so important to prove he had a resurrected human body?

God was redeeming the physical matter toward the new earth and new heaven.

The devil’s counterfeit

[Exo 7:10-11 NKJV] 10 So Moses and Aaron went in to Pharaoh, and they did so, just as the LORD commanded. And Aaron cast down his rod before Pharaoh and before his servants, and it became a serpent. 11 But Pharaoh also called the wise men and the sorcerers; so the magicians of Egypt, they also did in like manner with their enchantments.

[1Jo 4:2-3 NKJV] 2 By this you know the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is of God, 3 and every spirit that does not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God. And this is the [spirit] of the Antichrist, which you have heard was coming, and is now already in the world.

The devil can manipulate matter to a certain degree. But mostly he denies the power of God in the matter.

You are the Body of Christ!

[1Co 3:16 NKJV] 16 Do you not know that you are the temple of God and [that] the Spirit of God dwells in you?

[1Co 6:14-15 NKJV] 14 And God both raised up the Lord and will also raise us up by His power. 15 Do you not know that your bodies are members of Christ?

If the power of Christ’s resurrection is not touching our bodies, it is an incomplete Gospel. Health and healing are not exceptions, but the rule of the Body of Christ.

Be clothed with Power!

[1Co 12:13 NKJV] 13 For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body–whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free–and have all been made to drink into one Spirit.

[Act 1:8 NKJV] 8 “But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”

The Body of Christ is manifestation (embodiment) of the Holy Spirit as Jesus was the manifestation (embodiment) of the Word. A new form of existence.
